One day in Scarborough

RO: De când am ajuns în York ne-am dorit să vedem marea căci se află la o distanță de 35 de mile de noi. Dar am așteptat până în urmă cu o lună, când de ziua prietenului meu am vizitat Scarborough. Ne-am urcat în tren și în 45 de minute am fost acolo. Imediat cum am ieșit din gară am spus: „Unde e marea? Nu vreau să văd orașul, vreau să văd marea, mi-e dor de mirosul de scoici, mare, nisip, sare!”. Parcă eram un copil… Ne-am consultat cu „ghidul nostru” Google Maps și în 15 minute am ajuns aproape de faleză.

EN: Since we moved in York we wanted to see the sea because it’s located at 35 miles away from us. But we waited until one month ago, when on my boyfriend’s birthday we visited Scarborough. We boarded in the train and in 45 minutes we were already there. Right away after getting out from the railway station I said: ”Where is the sea? I don’t want to see the city, I want to see the sea, I miss the smell of shells, sea, sand, salt!”. I was exactly like a child… We consulted with ”our guide” called Google Maps and in 15 minutes we were close to the seafront.  

RO: Evident că nu am putut coborî pe faleză până nu am făcut 62346345 de poze… și am terminat de admirat panorama. Când am ajuns pe plajă ne-am sunat părinții și am împărtășit cu ei sunetul mării, peisajul și pescărușii(însă pe aceștia noi îi auzim și în York zi de zi). Să nu credeți că am făcut plajă sau baie în mare, în cel mai fericit caz în nordul Angliei poți face asta în august dar nici atunci să nu te aștepți la o căldură gen România. Vremea a fost bunicică să zicem… ba soare ba nori și vânt. Dar e bine că nu a plouat. Cu o zi în urmă a fost soare și cald dar noi nu am avut norocul acesta pe tot parcursul zilei.

EN: Obviously, we couldn’t go down on the seafront until we’ve done 62346345 photos… and until we finished to admire the panorama. When we went down to the beach we called our parents and we shared with them the sound of the sea, the view and the seagulls(but we hear them every day in York). Don’t even think that we sunbathed or went in the water, in the best case in Northern England you can do this in August but not even then don’t expect heat like in Romania. The weather was, let’s say, pretty good… sunny then cloudy and windy. But it’s was good that it didn’t rain. With a day before it was sunny and warm but we didn’t have that luck all day.  
RO: După ce am terminat de vizitat golful sudic am pornit spre golful din nord.

EN: When we finished to visit the South Bay we went to the North Bay.

RO: Am plecat de pe plajă și ne-am dus în Peasholm Park, un parc foarte drăguț, plin de verdeață și de păsări pe care-l văzusem pe Facebook cu ceva timp în urmă. Acesta a fost ultimul obiectiv turistic fiindcă am plecat înapoi spre York.

EN: We left the beach and we went to Peasholm Park, a very pretty park, full of grass and birds which I’ve seen it before on Facebook a while ago. This was the last sight we visited because after that we went to York.

  RO: Excursia noastră a fost una de o zi dar a meritat. Sper că v-au plăcut pozele și călătoria virtuală împreună cu voi. Voi ați vizitat Scarborough sau alte orașe din Yorkshire? Vă pup!
